Rapper and star of the popular VH1 reality show “T.I. and Tiny” recently admitted that he accompanies his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah to the gynecologist each year to ensure her hymen is still intact. While guest starring on the Ladies Like Us podcast, the 39-year-old former inmate made it clear that his daughter is forbidden to be sexually active, and he is not afraid to make sure of it with these annual pelvic exams.
T.I. even went so far as to explain to hosts Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham, “I will say, as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact.”

Even though 18-year-old Deyjak is now in college, her father has made it clear to her how important it is that she remains a virgin.
We can’t help but be a little appalled by this kind of controlling behavior; especially coming from a public figure whose own lyrics describe explicit sexual acts and who laughed off his son King’s confession of being sexually active at just 14 (on national television, no less).
Deyjah is a recent high school graduate who is now into her first year of college. While this is the time of life most young people are starting to gain independence, these yearly trips to the gynecologist demonstrate how T.I. still maintains control over Deyjah’s body. Understandably, Mandi and Moham were visibly shocked upon hearing T.I.’s yearly ritual to ensure his daughter’s virginity. Unfazed, T.I. continued:
“This one time we go, I think this might have been after her 16th birthday. This is what we do. Right after the birthday, we celebrate,’ he said. ‘Usually like the day after the party, she’s enjoying her gifts. I put a sticky note on the door: “Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.” Smooth timing, T.I.
A recent snap of Deyjah and family following her graduation from high school.
Deyjah even has to sign a release form in order for her father to receive this information. “I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this … so we can share information. Is there anything you would not want me to know?’ ‘See doc? No problem.'”
Deyjah’s gynecologist explained to T.I. that there are other ways a hymen can break other than through intercourse, from riding a bike or horse to simple exercise. In fact, there are many virgins that have broken hymens, but this did not phase the rapper.
“So I say, ‘Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.”
T.I. provided a defense behind these extreme measures, explaining that many people look back on their youth and wish their parents had been more protective and stopped them from making mistakes that affected their lives.
“‘I think that most kids in hindsight, looking back, they always thank their parents for not allowing them to damage themselves as much as they could have,’ he said.
As if all of this couldn’t get even more misogynistic, T.I. added that no guy would now want to take the time to pursue Deyjah sexually, because, in his words: “Who wants a virgin? Like, really? All that work.”
Though hosts Mandi and Moham laughed their way through T.I.’s unique and controlling parental choices, they also referred to Deyjah as a “prisoner.” They explained to the rapper that this kind of behavior encourages men to behave as “vultures.” We have a feeling this may be falling on deaf ears.
Appalled members of the public were quick to point out that T.I.’s 15-year-old son King announced on their reality show that he has been sexually active since the age of 14. You’d think T.I. would be appalled based on the strict abstinence policy he inflicts on his daughter, but he instead laughed it off.
Double standard: T.I.’s son King let him know that he has been sexually active since the age of 14, to which T.I. responded with a laugh.
“I will definitely feel different about a boy than I will about a girl. And that’s just the God’s honest truth. I don’t think there’s any father out there who’ll tell you any different.”
These feelings don’t just stop with his daughter. T.I. has demonstrated himself to be equally controlling to his wife, Tiny, age 44. In an episode of his own podcast ExpediTIously, he told Tiny that, according to their marriage contract, he was “owed sex.”
“What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is yours. That means that little thing you got, that little sex box you got is half mine,’ he said. ‘So you pick which side you want, and that’s yours. The rest of it is mine. We can split it right down the middle…And my half is on the inside.”
T.I.’s controlling behavior extends to his wife, Tiny, shown here. On his podcast, T.I. called his wife’s private parts “Half mine.”
As he has made exceptionally clear, T.I. is not at all shy about his antiquated views on women’s roles and the importance of female purity. His controlling behavior is receiving immense backlash from the public, and rightfully so. We have one question for you, reader: Can T.I. finally be canceled?
