Aww.. British Fortnite gamer, 17, is given life-time ban for CHEATING

I didn’t think this would happen,” says famous Fortnite gamer Jarvis Kaye after receiving a LIFETIME BAN for cheating

Teenager and avid Fortnite gamer FaZe Jarvis is apologizing to his 2 million YouTube fans today after receiving a lifetime ban from the game for using forbidden tactics. The famous gamer and member of the eSports team FaZe clan (whose real name is Jarvis Kaye) was issued the ban after being caught using aimbots.

For those who don’t play Fortnite, but we’ll do our best to explain: Aimbots are a popular method of cheating that allow competitors to shoot other players much more easily. Despite the fact that the use of the Aimbot software is forbidden, Kaye used them in a public game, giving him an unfair advantage that led to dire consequences.

Kaye has since issued a tearful apology to his social media pages, where he addresses his fans remorsefully. He said in a Tweet, “I’m going to take accountability for my actions and I understand completely why this happened, I just wish I had known how severe the consequences were at the time and I never thought about doing it,” adding “I love all of you who still support me, this is not the end.”

Gamer FaZe Jarvis posted a tearful apology video addressing his followers and Fortnight’s parent company following news of his lifetime ban.

Fortnight is a video game craze boasting millions of users worldwide. In the shooter game, players create a superhero avatar and fight against fellow players on a dystopian island. The goal is simple: be the last one standing.

Kaye explained to his loyal followers that his intention behind using the Aimbots was simply to create a more interesting viewing experience. He assured fans this was his first time using a strategy like the Aimbots, and that he has never used them in any sort of competitive game.

Now, Kaye is pleading with the team at Epic Games to give him another chance.

“Epic Games you know I know how big of a mistake I’ve made and I’m truly like so sorry. Epic, I know I have to take accountability for my actions and I’m going to do my best to accept any punishment that comes my way.” He added, “I’m not trying to find a quick road out but being banned forever is just – a lifetime ban – is just, I just didn’t this would happen.”

The lifetime ban has caused a lot of controversy within the gamer community, where there seems to be a pretty even split of opinion. The hashtag #FreeJarvis began trending shortly after the news broke of Kaye’s ban.

Many gamers are pointing to the much shorter bans of two other popular players called Xxif and Ronaldo to help Kaye’s case. The two gamers were also caught cheating, but their bans only lasted two weeks to Kaye’s lifetime sentence.

Kaye is holding out hope that Epic Games will amend their decision and allow him to return to the game, but it is still unclear whether the company will change its mind and allow the famous gamer to play again.
